From breakfast to one last drink, here's where to go in Holešovice

Pult Tusarova
You may have already heard of the Pult beer bar, which has been open since 2021 in the centre of Prague, on V Celnici Street. This year, a second location opened, right in Holešovice. Both locations specialise in lagers.
At Pult Tusarova, the six lagers on tap are complemented by an equal number of specialty beers. Dozens of other specialty beers from around the world are stored in the refrigerators lining the back of the bar. The Pult location on Tusarova Street also features a kitchen where the culinary team prepares primarily meat specialties, such as steak tartare or carpaccio.
Skô, Myšák, and Naše maso
The Holešovice Market is one of the area’s iconic spots. Here you’ll find the Jatka78 theatre and Trafo Gallery, and Hall 22 which hosts farmers’ markets. For a meal, head to Halls 27 and 28, where three restaurants have made themselves at home.
Skô draws inspiration from Slovak cuisine, and you can try dishes such as halušky, pirohy, or perkelt. There’s also a buffet offering smaller, on-the-go meals, such as langoš. For meat and smoked meats, visit the Naše maso butcher shop — they’ll serve you meatloaf in a bun or a hamburger. And for a sweet treat or a cup of coffee, head to the neighbouring Myšák pastry shop.
The Eatery
Head chef Pavel Býček of The Eatery is credited with helping Czechs fall in love with dill sauce all over again. His version has become one of the restaurant’s signature dishes and has been a staple on the menu since the restaurant opened.
Each dish is prepared with an emphasis on seasonality and local ingredients, and the minimalist interior with an open kitchen gives the restaurant a pleasantly casual atmosphere. You can pair your meal with a glass of wine, of which they have a wide selection.
Osada
Osada café in Holešovice, tucked away in a courtyard away from the hustle and bustle of the street, is one of those places where you can easily spend the whole day. No matter what time of day, they’ll prepare you a coffee and something to eat. We can’t get enough of their breakfasts, especially the scrambled eggs with truffle pecorino.
The afternoon menu features hearty and nutritionally balanced meals with something for everyone, including those who prefer meat-free dishes. The display case inside the café tempts you with sweet pastries and delicious desserts.
Osteria Mensa
Osteria Mensa brings a little piece of sunny Italy to Holešovice. The owners themselves describe the restaurant as an authentic osteria with the atmosphere of old Italian streets. The husband-and-wife team and co-owners, Anna Kovalchuk and Vladimír Buňák, travel directly to Italy for ingredients and recipes, and the dishes on the menu pay homage to a different region each time. At the heart of the restaurant are their handmade pasta, dishes prepared according to original, authentic recipes, and wines from Italian wineries.
Supernova Bakehouse
If you’re a croissant lover, you should definitely stop by. The business was launched by brothers Marek and Michal Borští, and they’ve focused specifically on croissants, both classic and filled.
In addition to croissants, you’ll find cakes, cookies, and pain au chocolat, and the sweet pastries are complemented by savoury options like sandwiches. The production area is separated only by a glass partition, so you can watch the final stages of preparation. The individual pastries are then displayed on the counter like pieces in an art gallery.
Slice Slice Baby & Sip Sip Hooray
Kateřina Jakusová once worked as the sous chef at Eska, completed an internship at the Copenhagen restaurant Noma, helped launch the popular Prague bakery Kus koláče, and has eventually settled into her own pizzeria.
But not just any pizzeria! Her pizzas are characterised by original flavour combinations that a conservative Italian nonna would likely meet with a raised eyebrow — but that only makes them all the more tempting. Right next door to the pizzeria is its younger sibling, the cocktail bar Sip Sip Hooray. An irresistible combination guaranteed to make for a fabulous evening.
Vnitroblock
Holešovice’s Vnitroblock was founded ten years ago as a a multifunctional space. Today, it houses a café, a bistro, the Not Another Boring Roastery coffee roastery, the Skýva bakery, the unconventional D&B Gallery, the Sector dance studio, and the ArtMoment art lab.
In the alley off Dělnická Street that leads to Vnitroblock, you’ll also find the Garage22 craft distillery, a barbershop, and a clothing store. In the summer, you can enjoy coffee and drinks in the hidden outdoor garden, which comfortably seats up to 100 people. Vnitroblock’s core offerings include coffee, desserts, breakfast, and brunch, but you can also stop by for the lunch menu too.
Big Smokers
Years ago, an authentic barbecue restaurant enriched the Holešovice culinary scene. The interior isn’t flashy; all attention is focused on the smoker used to smoke meat and vegetables. Thanks to the open kitchen, you can watch the entire process while ordering your food at the counter.
The menu features smoked beef and pork, pulled-meat sandwiches, and several side dishes. On certain days, you can enjoy a special menu: Taco Thursday, Friday Oyster Bar, and Sunday Brunch. But no matter when you arrive, you won’t get burned at Big Smokers.
EMA Espresso Bar
You’ll find the EMA espresso bar in Prague at four locations. The latest has opened in Holešovice, on the site of a former brewery. In addition to specialty coffee — which EMA roasts in-house — you can also enjoy sandwiches, pastries, and other treats from their partner bakery, Alf & Bet.

Kolektor Cafe
This café on the ground floor of the Trade Fair Palace, home to the National Gallery, is one of most community-oriented spots in Prague. People come to Kolektor to work, study, or just hang out. You’ll find families with children here, as well as groups of friends sitting on the stairs. In this spacious, airy setting, you can enjoy coffee or a Negroni, brunch, or an afternoon snack. The place buzzes with life from morning until night, when a DJ sets the mood.
Cobra
Located almost on the border between Holešovice and Letná, the Cobra bar is a favourite spot among locals. The current owners have transformed the former gaming hall into a spot where cocktails are mixed and brunch is served.
In addition to brunch, they also serve a lunch menu during the week, while the evening menu features dishes perfect for sharing. The bar celebrated its tenth anniversary this year, a milestone reflected in its current cocktail menu. To celebrate, the bar team revived the ten best drinks from its history — one for each year — and reimagined them in a new form.
