Bokovka
Bokovka was founded in 2006 by a group of friends and cultural figures including directors Jan Hřebejk and David Ondříček, artist Stanislav Diviš, photographer Tono Stano, and others, who shared a love of wine. Later, the wine bar moved to its current location on Dlouhá Street, where it is joined by other Ambiente establishments: Lokál Dlouhááá, Naše maso, Marie B, and Vin de Marie.
The wine list features wines from both small and renowned European winemakers, all of whom share a respectful approach to their vineyards, terroir, and the wine itself. Thanks to its hidden location in the courtyard of the historic U Zeleného stromu building, Bokovka is a popular gathering spot.

Vin de Marie
The Vin de Marie wine shop opened in 2023 alongside the Marie B restaurant, with which it shares a space. Offering wines from Central Europe, Italy, and France, they work with winemakers who share similar values and a considerate approach to gastronomy — that is, producers who intervene as little as possible, both in the vineyard and in the cellar. You can enjoy wines by the glass, order a full bottle, or take your selected wine home with you.

The 0.75 wine bar in Prague’s Holešovice neighbourhood specialises in natural wines. Thanks to a careful selection of bottles with lower sulphite content, the establishment promises “not only exceptional evenings, but also mornings without a headache.”. The sommeliers also pay attention to the winemaker’s approach and the production process, which involves minimal intervention and maximum respect for nature. The wine list features wines from the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Italy, France, and Spain.

Vinárna by Alma
This casual wine bar, nestled in the courtyard of the Alma restaurant, serves a diverse selection of artisanal and natural wines from across Europe, ranging from tried-and-true classics to respected avant-garde offerings and wild, natural wines. Of course, sparkling wines and growers’ Champagne are also on the menu.
The selection of wines by the glass and by the bottle changes frequently, but all the featured winemakers have one thing in common: they avoid unnecessary chemicals both in the vineyard and in the cellar. Vinárna by Alma frequently hosts guided and unguided tastings as well as other events, in which the winemakers themselves participate.

Vinohrad
When Karel Treu and Dušan Pavlák came across wine-tasting machines in South Moravia, they liked them so much that they decided to bring them to Prague. In Prague’s Vinohrady district, they established the Vinohrad wine bar, which features three wine coolers stocked with white, rosé, and red wines from family-run wineries in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Austria, and Hungary.
Upon arrival, you’ll receive a tasting card, and then you can choose and taste the individual wines on your own. If needed, however, the staff are happy to help you with your selection or talk about the wineries represented.

Enoteca
In Prague, you can visit the Enoteca wine bar at two locations, in Karlín and on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square. Both establishments are run by Andrea Sirtori, a native of Italy, together with wine importer Ondřej Marek. They focus on natural wines from various Italian regions and select them directly from the winemakers. Quality, authenticity, and the winemaker’s respect for nature are essential to them. While the Enoteca on Jiřího z Poděbrad Square is more like a bistro thanks to its food menu, the one in Karlín is all about wine. But you can also get a few simple dishes here too.

Also in Vinohrady, the sip. opened in mid-January 2025, but has already managed to build a solid reputation. The minimalist interior showcases a rich selection of natural wines from around the world, however owners Jan Ujčík and Ondřej Zapletal, place an emphasis on lesser-known — but all the more interesting — domestic winemakers. Their goal is to inspire a passion for wine among the younger generation as well.

Champagneria
Tucked away in the alleys of the Old Town, just a few steps from Betlémské Square, lies Champagneria. Despite its name, the menu features sparkling wines beyond champagne, made using the traditional method. This means they’re produced similarly to champagne through secondary fermentation on the lees in the bottle. You can also enjoy several pet-nats here, as well as a variety of still wines, including natural and biodynamic wines. The space also serves as a fine art gallery.

HokusPokus
Robert Schwana, his wife Jana, and her brother Miloš had been involved with wine for many years before they decided to open a wine bar. They wanted to create a place where they could share their passion with others, and so in 2018, HokusPokus wine & tapas bar was founded in Ostrava. The business’s success led the trio of owners to launch an online store in 2020 and, five years later, to expand to Prague. The selection features only wines from organic farming, often from small European winemakers.

Vinograf
Vinograf, a staple of Prague’s wine scene, revamped its concept in 2024 and merged its existing wine bar with a restaurant. Wines from around the world now accompany dishes inspired by Italian, French, and Spanish cuisine with modern twists. The sommeliers curate the wine collection primarily from smaller family-owned wineries. In doing so, they consider not only the taste and character of the wines but also their potential for pairing with dishes. The wine list currently includes over 400 different bottles, of which roughly forty wines can be sampled by the glass.

A bonus tip: Kuchyň
Whilst it may not be a wine bar, Kuchyň boasts a diverse selection of wines. Located on Hradčanské náměstí, this restaurant proves that traditional Czech dishes don’t have to be paired only with beer. You can choose from nearly a hundred different wines from European wineries, and the sommelier here will gladly help you make your selection.
