Myšák: Pastry shops on both banks of the Vltava River

Welcome to the sweet factory, led by Lukáš Pohl and his team. Each dessert is made to be finished in two bites, so you can taste more than one. At our confectioneries in Vodičkova and Holešovice, you will find traditional Czech delicacies such as Indian cakes, cream rolls, and cream puffs. Accompany them with speciality coffee, prepared by our baristas, and grab some baked goods to go, too.

Before you head out to prom —whether it’s your own, a family member’s, or a friend’s—refresh yourself with with a perfectly poured beer at Lokál U Jiráta. Or do you suspect you’ll have more than one shot at the prom and want to play it safe with a fried cheese sandwich? 

Lokál U Jiráta

The smallest – and youngest – of the Lokál family can be found in Vodičkova street. Back in 1887, legendary innkeeper Josef Jirát was already offering impeccable pilsner beer, straight from the tap, and today, we continue the tradition, serving expertly treated beer straight onto the street. Small gallery at Jungmannova 19/7 offers a glimpse into the contemporary work of leading as well as lesser-known domestic and international artists. You can then discuss the social themes explored in the photographs discuss the social themes explored in the photographs. Perhaps over coffee and gingerbread with chocolate. 

National Theater + Forbína 

Before you head to the National Theater to experience the stories on stage, take a peek behind the curtain—or rather, straight into the Forbína. At the aptly named Forbína bar, they serve cocktails with stories just as captivating as those from classic recipes. 

Signal Space + Brasileiro Slovanský dům 

A visit to Signal Space and a churrasco-style lunch or dinner at the recently recently renovated Brasileiro Slovanský dům. At Signal Space, you’ll experience several light installations by Czech and international artists, some of which are interactive, and Brasileiro on Na Příkopech Street also has plenty to offer in terms of design and visual experiences. The restaurant underwent a major transformation this year, led by Qarta architecture studio.

Before a concert or after seeing an exhibition at the Rudolfinum , treat yourself and your friends or family , enjoy some churrasco at Brasileiro U Zelené žáby. 

DOX + Pult Tusarova

Clear your head and recharge after a dose of of contemporary art at DOX —just a few steps from the gallery, on Tusarova Street, the Pult beer bar. They rotate six Czech lagers and six specials on tap, and the local menu focuses on meat: from tartare and carpaccio to steaks made from Czech spotted cattle. If you want to try everything at once, order the Meat Flight and let them recommend a beer to pair with each course that’s tailored exactly to your taste.

Trafo Gallery + Skô

Before visiting Trafo Gallery, take some time to explore the Holešovice Market, which has recently come alive and attracts visitors with its great culinary concepts. Just a few steps from the gallery, you’ll find the Skô restaurant, where you can fuel up before touring the exhibition with hearty bryndza halušky, langoš, or time-honored pirohy. And since its interior was designed by AP Atelier , led by Josef Pleskot, you’ll enjoy art even while having lunch or dinner.

National Gallery + Eska Letná

Five minutes from the Trade Fair Palace you’ll find the Eska bakery. So before you head out to see the art at the National Gallery, stop by here for a fresh coffee and a loupák, buns, or some crispy 33 bread for the road.

A bakery and kitchen full of life

Visit Eska in Karlín. Everry day, we bake our renowned bread 33, along with sweet buns, cakes and kolache. On Fridays, our bread 66 is available until it sells out – and if you're not in the mood for baked goods, come for a lunch of local produce, or one of our famous breakfasts, which are prepared until late afternoon. Oh, and don't forget to take a look round our shop on the way out.

Prague Museum + Pult V Celnici

Once you’ve soaked up history at the Museum of the City of Prague at Florenc, just walk a few minutes to V Celnici Street. At the Pult beer bar , you can wash away the emotional impact of the exhibits with a freshly poured beer, discuss your experiences over some steak tartare, and pick up a few bottled or canned specialty beers from the refrigerators to take home.
