A walk for good food: From Prague's Malá Strana along Vlašská Street to Kuchyň and the castle

Vojanovy sady
Hidden behind a high wall, these are one of the the oldest surviving gardens in Prague, a world apart from the noise of the city. There's the Chapel of St Therese and the Chapel of St Elijah in the form of a stalactite cave, a pond, a relaxing and scenic rose terrace with a sundial and a children's playground. There are also several peacocks living here.
Karel Zeman Museum
Be transported back in time though film, learn how movie tricks are done and even try them out for yourself. In the museum you can climb the castle tower, get shot in a movie, play a giant and a dwarf in pairs, open the floodgates and let water into the castle courtyard, or, like Miloš Kopecký as Baron Prášil, fly on a canon ball over the battlefield.
St. Nicholas Bell Tower
Climb the stairs for a beautiful view of the whole town from the Baroque bell tower built in the second half of the 18th century. The tower was originally used to guard the town and was at one time the tallest building in the city. The tower master lived here, and cooked over an open fire - his kitchen has been preserved and is the last "black" kitchen in the Czech Republic. From the top of the tower you can see all the access roads to the embassies, which is why it later became a secret police observation post.
Lennon's Wall
Since the 1960s, people have been painting the wall and writing messages of all kinds, from love poems to criticism of the regime. Protests and rallies are still occasionally held here. After John Lennon's death, someone created an improvised tombstone here, and the wall has carried the singer's name ever since.
Kuchyň
Enjoy classic Czech cuisine, just as our ancestors knew it. In the garden they'll serve you a beer and a breathtaking view of the whole of Prague.
