Where to find the best fried chicken in Prague? Here are 7 places to go

Sandwich Rodeo
If you like a fried chicken sando, you'll be happy here. Try the Hot Fried Chicken - spicy chicken, chilli oil, onions, pickles and mayonnaise on toasted bread. The Katsu Sando or maybe the Crispy Chicken Slider sometimes make an appearance on the menu, too.
U Kalendů
We couldn't miss the famous U Kalendů Chicken Kiev. It's beautifully crispy and served with herb butter, creamy mashed potatoes and a refreshing salad. On the menu upon the request of chef Honza Všetečka, it's been a bestseller ever since the restaurant opened.
Centraal
Just a few steps further, you'll find this little spot - though you might have to wait out the queue. After all, their fried chicken instantly became a superstar. Owners Vojtěch Knoll and Michal Valenta have a wealth of experience in gastronomy and brought the idea for their own bistro from Australia, where they met.
They source their meat from Czech farmers, and have food prep down to the smallest detail. Indulge in some bubbles with your chicken - that's what the whole concept is based on. Bliss.
Bufet
This popular Karlin venue and neighbour of the Dva kohouti brewery is famous for its quick lunches and food to go, or to accompany a beer. Hits include fried chicken in a buttery brioche bun - they marinate a boneless leg of farm-raised chicken in buttermilk, coat it in flour, fry it, and finally dip it in hot oil. The recipe varies according to the seasons.
It's a go-to if you're heading to the brewery next door, or looking for a place where you can have a great lunch or dinner with the whole group, family or colleagues.
Hoxton Fried Chicken
The team behind Hoxton Burgers have opened a third venue, offering fresh, made-to-order fried chicken dipped in a signature blend of spices. To go with it, you can choose from one of six homemade sauces, taking those fried chicken bites to an even higher level.
Louis Chicken
Originally built as delivery only, Louis Chicken has been operating for two years, and opened its first fast-food restaurant last autumn in the heart of downtown on Spalena Street. The menu includes chicken wraps, burgers, wings and strips.
Čestr
Although they specialise mainly in steaks made from Czech Fleckvieh cattle, venison, pork - and of course poultry - regularly appear on the menu. Go for the fried chicken thigh on buttery brioche, with pickled celery and truffle espuma.
