How to make tomato salad with onions, just like grandma

Crunchy, cold, tangy - and it’s delicious! Here's a recipe for refreshing tomato salad from Lokál U Jiráta.

The smallest – and youngest – of the Lokál family can be found in Vodičkova street. For 1 bowl of salad:

  • 800 g tomatoes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 500 ml water
  • 60 ml vinegar
  • 60 g granulated sugar
  • 10 g salt
  • a pinch of black pepper

Instructions: 

  1. In a mug or other container, mix the marinade until all the sugar and salt have dissolved. 
  2. Cut the tomatoes into small wedges (or chop finely). Add the finely chopped onion and pour over the dressing. It's that simple!

Next we serve
